Downlights were popular with designs by Specialty Lighting Industries, Gallium Lighting LLC, Lightolier, Amerlux Lighting Solutions, and Cree LED Lighting all receiving recognition. MP Lighting and Amerlux both were recognized for track lighting products. Tech Lighting provided an LED pendant fixture with 40 different pendant options.led high bay alternative to high-intensity discharge high-bay lamps. Cree submitted a noteworthy high-lumen-output 24-inch square ceiling light and LED-Linear was recognized for an undercabinet luminaire.
The five “emerging” products selected as noteworthy but not yet market-ready included two by GO Lighting Technologies, a 24-inch round ceiling-mounted fixture and a 4-foot LED linear lamp which could be hung or wall mounted, as well as a down-light by Ledion Lighting, a linear pendant by Beta Lighting, and a submersible linear by Winona Lighting.All three of these patented, quiet, adaptable and extremely reliable active thermal management solutions house Nuventix’ SynJet technology as well as standard heat sinks to effectively and uniquely cool LED lighting solutions.
SynJet modules are the most efficient active cooling option for manufacturers of LEDs because their reliability matches – and exceeds – that of the LEDs themselves. SynJet modules also provide spot cooling in form factors which fit those of LEDs. Jim Balthazar, president and CEO of Nuventix, pointed out that over the last year the LED lighting industry has embraced SynJet active cooling solutions for use in high brightness LED lighting designs. They are excited to expand their product portfolio with this family of led high bay light coolers which will further accelerate the use of LEDs for general illumination purposes.These new cooling modules will initially enable LED track lighting solutions for Nuventix customers. Next, the new family of SynJet coolers will be expanded to provide active cooling for recessed LED lighting solutions. Each of the new modules will enable different wattages of led high bay light at three different settings with specific power, cooling and acoustical outputs for individual use case implementation, ranging from 16 to 45 watts.
